Renovations and new houses in Dorset
Renovations and extensions on Poole Harbour and at Sandbanks, and new country houses built in the traditional manner.

Our Dorset work runs from Arts and Crafts houses on Poole Harbour to new country houses built in the traditional manner.
Our work in the county
At Poole Harbour, we renovated an Arts and Crafts house that had been poorly modernised in the 1980s, adding a steel and glass extension with a lower ground floor and opening the kitchen and living room onto balconies over the harbour.
At Sandbanks, we rebuilt the seaward face of a 1970s house over three floors, cantilevering the upper floors so the ground floor could open fully to the garden, and added extensions on both sides.
At Kingston Magna, we built a new 5,000 sq ft house designed to look like a stone Georgian farmhouse with a later Victorian wing, with a farm office, flat, barns and a walled kitchen garden.

Sandbanks
Sandbanks
The architect was asked to maximise the light and space in this 1970s new build. His solution was to remove the face of the building over three floors where it faced the sea and cantilever the first and second floors out over the ground floor.
